Eine interessante Unterhaltung zwischen Johnny Miller und Jack Nicklaus.

Miller lobt Nicklaus für seinen starken Schwung. Er halte das Schlägerblatt sehr lange square nach dem Treffmoment, Miller selbst käme zu früh aus der richtigen Bahn.

Das sieht man bei Nicklaus auch im Finish, ähnlich auch bei Hogan und Woods.

Das hatte Austin gemeint, als er sagte: "The clubhead has to go around, but don't roll you forearms when you hit it. You hit it with a lob, buddy!"

Auch in dem Buch "The Hogan Way" von John Andrisani gibt es dazu eine klare Position:

"The last thing he wants the right hand to do is rotate over his left. Many novice golfer think they should do that to release the club. Don't, otherwise you will close the clubface at impact and hit a bad hook shot."
